Frequently Asked Questions

This page is here to help you find answers to all of the most frequently asked questions.
Why use a contractor?

Contractors are licensed and insured to ensure that they are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards for your project. Before any demolition or the first nail is hammered, a good contractor has already done a lot of work for you. Denver, like most cities and communities, has specific building codes that must be followed. A licensed contractor is also able to pull permits and schedule all required inspections.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are licensed and insured in each city and county that we perform work in.

How long have you been in business?

Our company was established in 2014.

What is your workmanship warranty?

We provide a 5 year workmanship warranty on all work performed. Temporary repairs do not come with a warranty.

Are you certified by shingle manufacturers?

Yes, we are certified with many of the larger manufacturers including Owens Corning, GAF, Malarkey, Mule Hide, and Tamko.

Do you provide estimates requested for documentation purchases, such as roof inspections or real estate transaction?

We work with many realtors in order to provide the necessary documentation for the sale and purchase of residences. We offer 5 year roof certifications and repair estimates. Should repairs be needed before certification is available, we will provide a repair estimate for the owners approval.

My roof leaks. Do I need to have it totally replaced?

Roof leaks can occur for many reasons including damaged or missing flashing, missing shingles, and wear and tear. If repairs can eliminate the leak(s), a total roof replacement would probably not be necessary.

What are my options if I decide to reroof?

Options include shingle manufacturer (Owens Corning, CeDUR, Malarkey, etc), shingle and accessory color(s), and additional improvements including gutter and soffit and fascia replacement. Timing options can be flexible; as long as it’s at least 45 degrees and sunny, we are able to install a roof. It’s always a good idea to research your contractor and ensure they have a good reputation and can stand by their work.

Can you roof over my existing shingles?

Most cities do not allow more than 1 layer of shingles to be installed and we do not recommend it.

What will a new roof cost?

The cost of a new roof varies significantly from project to project. The size of the roof and materials used are the biggest factors making up for the range of cost. Code upgrades can also be costly, such as sheathing requirements per city.

Do I need to be at home when a technician is inspecting or repairing my roof?

You do not need to be present for the roof inspection or repair. You would only need to present if we need access to the attic from the inside of the house or to evaluate where a leak is originating from.

Will you have someone onsite for me to talk to during the work if I have questions?

A project manager will be on site during construction to answer any of your questions. We are also just a phone call away should any questions arise if the project manager needs to check in on another job or pick-up additional materials. We strive to have all questions answered before work begins.

How is payment handled?

Payment is due upon completion of work. In some cases, we request a 50% down payment to order materials. For insurance claims, it is the customers responsibility to contact us when they have received their final check from insurance. Outstanding invoices incur a 4.5% interest rate each day after 30 days on invoice.
